Albania's greatest folk hero, Gjergj Kastrioti Skanderbeg, who fought the Ottoman
Turks for some 25 years until his death in 1468 thereby preventing them from
over running all of Europe and postponing the inevitable conquest by the
Turks of the entire Balkan peninsula. The entire history of mankind and even
America might be different today, if it weren’t for Skanderbeg. The Turks
would have spread their Muslim religion and continued the killing and slavery
of Christians. He was one of the original freedom fighters in the same way that
America has defended other parts of the world in name of human freedom and Dignity. We owe honor to God for
lifting up a Godly leader for the protection of our Christian faith. The Turks 400 rule disintegrated
through political infighting and its communist type government. Only a
Christian based nation, with God as its leader under Godly justice can
prevail and prosper like America. So, it was no wonder that eventually the
corrupt Ottoman government weakened. |
